The JNHS Student Council D.A.S.H. Committee and Abilene Regional Council on Alcohol & Drug Abuse sponsored a Red Ribbon Carnival. The kids played educational games and won prizes.

Some of our Jim Ned Football team visited our school to talk about the importance of good character and healthy choices.
They also helped with the prize drawings for footballs and basketballs with drug-free messages printed on them.

Students dressed in their Halloween costumes!

Eldrena Douma ("Blue Corn"), with the Tejas Storytelling Association, visited our campus in September. She entertained our students with traditional Native American stories and shared tales she has written about her family and her people, the Pueblo Indians. The themes of honesty and truthfulness are central to her stories.

Buffalo Gap Elementary students donated approximately 400 new pairs of socks for "Love and Care Ministries of Abilene".
