Hello! Welcome to the Jim Ned Middle School Band page. My name is Carl Hooper. I am originally from Abilene, Texas where I attended school at Wylie ISD. I started band when I was in 6th grade under the direction of Jeff Estes, the current Jim Ned High School band director. I graduated from Wylie High School in 2000. I received my bachelor's degree in music education at Texas Tech University in December of 2004. I have taught in both the Woodville and Abilene Independent School Districts. The 2009-2010 school year will be my third year at Jim Ned. I love Jim Ned and am excited about working with the students, parents, and community to help make the band and school the best it can be!
