52nd Annual Whataburger Tournament

Jim Ned Lady Indians will participate in the 52nd Annual Whataburger Tournament. The tournament will be held December 28, 29, 30 at Saginaw High School. This is the first year the Whataburger Tournament will have a girls' division.

Teams invited are: Abilene Wylie, All Saints, Brock, Peaster, Saginaw, Jim Ned, Argyle, Cayuga, Dallas Bishop Dunne, Cleveland, Liberty Christian, Nolan, Fairfield, Princeton, Springtown, and West Anchorage, Ak. For more information on the tournament, please see the
Whataburger website.

The following is a note from the Whataburger Tournament Director

The Girls Division games will be played at Saginaw High School located off Blue Mound Road and Western Center Blvd in North Ft. Worth.

The Blue Girls Division traveling teams will be headquartered at the
Fairfield Inn located at N. Beach and Loop 820E which is approximately 10 minutes to the gym and also five minutes from the Blue Boys Division games at Haltom High School.

The Boys Division will be played at
Haltom High School and will be headquartered at the Radisson off I35 and Meachum Blvd.

The Fairfield Inn has sent a letter, which I have attached for download for the teams, parents, fans and boosters. Please see the attached document for additional information regarding reservations, amenities, phone numbers, and costs. Reservations need to be made by December 9.

Per our conversations we will stagger both girls and boys games as far along as we can in order for parents, fans, boosters to hopefully see both play. We will be offering pre-tournament "only" tickets at a discounted rate to attend both boys and girls divisions.

The Jim Ned boys' team fresh off a bi-district win vs. Stanton arrived in the second half to give the Lady Indians a much-needed boost over Coahoma to help the Lady Indians earn a trip to the Region 1 tournament in Midland. Jim Ned won, 50-46, and both squads met mid-court immediately following the game and posed for photos.
