Results from the District 7-2A Cross Country Meet October 26 at San Angelo North Shore State Park are available by downloading the attached document. The Lady Indians finished second in District 7AA with 52 points; Wall earned 32, and Ballinger had 69. All three teams advanced to the Region 1 competition. The JV Lady Indians also placed second. The Junior High teams placed third.

The Lady Indians finished ninth as a team in the Region 1 competition. Savanna finished second and Sarah finished 10th. Both advanced to the 2009 Cross Country State Championships Nov. 14 in Round Rock. Savanna finished third with a time of 11:52 and Sarah finished 15th with a time of 12:32.69 in the State Meet. The Abilene Reporter-News wrote a nice story on the race. Great job ladies!

The Lady Indians Varsity placed first with 33 points in the Naimadu Cross Country Classic on October 10 at Grover Nelson Park. Results can be found here. The Seventh Graders placed first with 88 points. Times are not available for Junior Varsity and Eighth Grade because of scoring problems.

The Jim Ned Lady Indians Varsity Cross Country team scored 38 points to finish second behind Comanche (29 points) in the September 29 Coleman Cross Country meet held at the Coleman Country Club. The Junior Varsity girls placed third with 101 points behind Comanche (15 points) and Early (61 points). The Seventh Grade Girls finished second with 49 points to Ballinger's 44 points and the Eighth Grade girls placed sixth with 136 points. Full results are available by opening the attached documents. Times for the Varsity and Junior Varsity races are not available due to technical problems at the scoring table.

The Jim Ned Varsity placed third in the Cisco Lobo Cross Country Meet held September 23rd in Cisco. Individual results are posted on the Cisco Athletics website or can be downloaded below. 2008 Class 2A Silver Medalist Brock placed first with 39 points; Millsap finished second with 67 points. Jim Ned earned 78 points, outdistancing fourth place finisher Bangs, who had 116 points. The Jim Ned Junior Varsity was sixth with 171 points.

Jim Ned's Lady Indians competed well in Saturday's Cross Country Meet in Hamlin at the Hamlin Country Club. Full results can be found by opening the attached document. The Varsity Girls finished third (67 points) behind Seymour who had 37 points and Hamlin with 41. The Seventh (38 points) and Eighth Grades (43 points) finished in first place. JV results were not available because of a scoring error the day of the meet. Pictured here is a group shot of the seventh graders with many holding their individual medals. The Jim Ned Lady Indian Cross Country team started off the 2009 season with a fourth place finish – 11 points out of third place - Tuesday at the Eula Invitational Cross Country meet. Full results can be found on the Eula ISD website.

Wall, Ballinger and Anson took the top three positions. The Junior Varsity team placed third behind Wall and Cisco.

Katelin rounds the final turn at the Eula Cross Country meet held September 8 at Eula ISD.

High School and Junior High Cross Country will meet after school. Please check with your coach on what days you will run and changes to the schedule. Practices should end at approximately 4:30 p.m.

The gym will be open after school for your use to do extra conditioning or basketball.

Bridget and Melissa stay neck-and-neck until the finish at the Hamlin Cross Country Meet Sept. 19 at the Hamlin Country Club.
