If you plan to burn the video to a DVD, download to a SuperDrive Mac--otherwise you will need to show the video from the computer that you used to download)
Go to:
www.unitedstreaming.com (Netscape seems to work best with Macs because it automatically saves it as a .mov file)
Login with Reg. 14 assigned username and password
Use search boxes to locate subject and grade level appropriate videos, photos, etc.
Download the video, clip, or photo to your desktop (For videos, make sure the extension is .mov)
Insert a DVD-R blank disk (Mac will not recognize a DVD+R disk)
Copy the .mov file to the movies folder on the Mac before starting the project in order to be able to make it an autoplaying DVD.
Then open the iDVD application and do File / New Project (and name your project).
Then import that .mov file that you downloaded--Click on Map menu and then click on Customize menu. You will need to customize and choose the Media tab and select movies and drag the movie to the autoplay icon so that the DVD will play automatically in the settop DVD player on your TV.
Select the motion button.
Click the burn button twice.
