Summer Workshops July, Aug. 09
June 4--Spreadsheets and Databases (Dana Keiner, assisted by Linda Cross)
June 10--Whiteboard Workshop #1 (Linda Cross, assisted by all teachers with experience--bring sample lessons on a thumb drive)
June 11--Moviemaker2 and Photostory3 (we'll make movies and take digital pictures and import them into these two "free" programs)
June 24--Powerpoint Workshop (presented by Dana Keiner & Linda Cross)

Aug. 6th--Explore the research databases and preview websites for curriculum materials for your classes (the librarians--Linda Cross & Marja Swart). During the afternoon session, you will have time to update your teacher webpage with some links to sites that you found in the morning session.
Aug. 12th--AV Workshop (everything from burning CDs and DVDs to digital cameras & video to cables & connections & projectors)--Cross (and others)

NEW!! How to Master Training (avail. April - Dec. 09)
InfoSource Learning has given us a trial account with selected training modules. Teachers' login information is identical to the SimpleAssessment logins from the fall (first initial + last name and your basic employee ID number as a password). There are 30 lessons available (although 10 of these are Mac related) and they cover Interactive Whiteboards, Technology Integration, Web. 2.0 Technologies, and Digital Literacy. These are designed to improve technology skills and awareness. (If you did not take the SimpleAssessment in the fall, you may need to check the help menu to learn to navigate through the lessons.) To log in, go to:

(enter your login info and click continue). Then go to courses and choose your lessons. We will be able to print reports for your continuing education certifications or if you complete a course you have the option to click on completed and print a certificate.
Atomic Learning (Online tutorials for teachers & students)
Short step-by-step tutorials for hundreds of applications. Teachers log in with your full email address and our "generic" password.

To improve Simple Assessment scores, the following tutorials are highly recommended: Web 2.0 Workshop, Word 2003, Windows XP, and Excel.

Participation in the the 23 Things Summer Online Workshop will update your Web 2.0 knowledge and provide up to 18 hours of staff development. Log your date and time each time you work on it and do printouts for documentation of completion.
