VideoTransfers
  Linda Cross

Transfer from Videocamera to VCR
Step 1--Use a cable that has RCA jacks (yellow, red, & white) on one end and a mini-Audio/video jack on the other end. This picture shows the RCA cables going into the TV/VCR. Yellow is video and red and white are left and right audio. (I have tried using an S-video cable instead but have not been able to transfer the sound.)
Step 2--This picture shows the mini-AV jack hooking into the videocamera in order to transfer the audio/video to the VCR.
This is an enlarged picture of the mini-AV jack.
This is an enlarged picture of the RCA cable end (white & red are audio; yellow is video)
Step 3--Make sure that the tape in the camera is rewound to the starting point and that the camera is in VCR mode--not camera mode. Insert a videotape into the VCR. You must use the remote on the VCR to select the correct input line--this is usually done with a button called input or line in. Advance the videotape a little ways before you start recording. When you are ready to record, press REC on the VCR and then the Play button on the videocamera. When the entire video is transferred, press stop on the VCR and then stop on the videocamera.
Dubbing from One VCR to Another VCR
Step 1:Use a RCA dubbing cable (yellow, red, & white jacks on both ends) to hook up to the Video IN and Left and Right audio IN on the receiving (recording) VCR and to the Video OUT and Left and Right audio OUT on the playing (sending) VCR.
Step 2: Insert the orginal videotape into the VCR that is set up as the playing VCR. Insert a blank videotape in the VCR that is set up as the recording VCR. Use the remote control on the recording VCR to choose Line IN or Input to choose the correct input line. (You will see the picture on both VCR's if it is working correctly once you start playing the tape to be recorded).
Step 3: Press REC (record) on the receiving VCR and press Play on the playing (sending) VCR.
This closeup shows the Input button on the remote for the recording VCR. On some older models this button is labeled Line IN instead of Input.
Camcorder Hookup Direct to Data Projector
Open small door on Camcorder and locate the A/V port (yellow).
Plug the minijack end of a minijack + RCA connector cable into the yellow A/V port. The pictures to the left and below demonstrate this end of the hookup
Projector Port Diagram for Camcorder Hookup
Notice that an S-Video cable runs from camcorder to projector for video and the minijack/RCA cable plugs in to the AUDIO port for sound
Burning United Streaming videos
Download the video from United Streaming's website at www.unitedstreaming.com.

Change the .asf file extension to .wmv before burning to DVD.

Use the DVD burning software (Roxio, etc.) that is installed on your PC. (Not all PC's have DVD burners--make sure that the DVD drives says RW and DVD.)
