The mission of the library media program is to ensure that students and staff are effective users of ideas and information. This mission is accomplished by:
*providing intellectual and physical access to materials in all formats;
*providing instruction to foster competence and stimulate interest in reading, viewing, and using information and ideas;
*working with other educators to design learning strategies to meet the needs of individual students. |
 Hello! My name is Marja Swart and I am proud to be the librarian for Jim Ned High School. I earned a bachelor's degree in music education from Abilene Christian University and my Masters of Library Science from Texas Woman's University. I have worked as a librarian in Abilene, Anson, and now Jim Ned. Before that I taught music to elementary students.
My family consists of my husband, Roger, a son, Dusty, a daughter, Julie, and a daughter-in-law, Sarah. Dusty and Sarah live in McKinney, and Julie goes to Abilene Christian University. My hobbies include reading (of course!), scrapbooking, sewing and cross-stitching. |
